: It may be worth noting that the concept currently espoused

: I have no explanation but do find it interesting.
: (Beta is now the fraction v/c, in SR, according
: to http://scienceworld.wolfram.com/physics/RelativisticBeta.html .)
:
: As it is,
:
: f/f0 = sqrt(1-v/c)/sqrt(1+v/c) in SR, and (1-v/c) in Galilean.
: w/w0 = sqrt(1+v/c)/sqrt(1-v/c) in SR, and 1 in Galilean.
: (f = frequency, w = wavelength)
:
: and of course gamma = 1/sqrt(1-v^2/c^2) = 1/(sqrt(1+v/c)*sqrt(1-v/c)).
:
: As for stupid arithmetic errors, we've all made 'em. Even Einstein. :-)

Before. 1929 - 1905 = 24 years
What Einstein (and you) fail to realise is that c = wf
and f remains unchanged.
Because f = 1/t, c = w / t
and that's just length divided by time (by definition).
You are both too stupid to see that, though.
BTW, a diffraction grating measures angle, not wavelength.
The greater the velocity, the smaller the angle, so red-shifted
light is arriving slowly.
Perhaps I'll make a gif to show it some day.
