over by mathematical idiot savants who lack an
appreciation for the implications of mechanism and
strive to suppress the contributions of those who
would dare to say "Hey, wait a minute"

I well understand his feelings. There really is
full justification for what this man feels!

And you're not alone! Quite some modern physicists
are not satisfied with theories of
physics that are devoid of physical explanations,
as is demonstrated by the extensive discussions
about "realism" in QM. Already in
1921 Sir Oliver Lodge commented in Nature:

"It is undeniable that mathematicians, with a
self-denying ordinance about coefficients,
can thus attain remarkable criteria, and are
able to anticipate definite results; but we
need not seek to engraft their modes of
expression on the real world of physics."

And he complained about the attitude of
"relativists" concerning MMX:

"A relativist, not caring in the least which
or whether either of these sets of measurements
has any absolute meaning [...]. Hence everybody
should be satisfied, without any appeal to, or
confirmation of, any physical theory
whatever. The null (or dull) result of the
experiment now requires no explanation"

O'Barr comments:
Thank you, Harald. But let us see at least
two things: You went back 86 years to find some
one who was willing to say such things. Couldn't
you find someone willing to say these things today?
This very year? And you also did not really say
what you think about this. Did you mean to not
say anything about this? Are you afraid to say
anything too?

It is a true sign of mental sickness if anyone
says that man is not trying to find out what our
reality is all about. And any person who says that
our reality is unknowable, or that it is some 4-D
type of a reality, or that we can go back in time,
or if he says anything that is not physically tested
and put into the true arena of science, he is even
sicker. We must put an end to this silly and
impossible type of thinking that has come upon
those who teach. They are sick, and they are
getting sicker and sicker. And it will not
end unless and until we all say that we have
had enough of these fun and games.
If you cannot show a test that establishes
the things being presented, then it is not
science. If the theory you are presenting is
only math, then the full cause and effects are
not yet present. We need to re-learn our science.

Thanks for reading.
