hi,
water evaporates from its bodies ( likes ocean, river
etc..) at temperatuer of 30 and odd degress of temp,
but where as in boiling it doesn't even evaporate at
100 C(celcius). Why is this so? Then, What
determines the evaporating temperature of water?
Hope you got the question.
thanks
In common with all other liquids, water has a vapour
pressure which depends on its temperature. At 30 C
the vapour pressure of water is about 4.4 kPa which is
less than the atmospheric pressure of around 100 kPa
so some water evaporates and becomes part of the
atmosphere.
Depending on what moisture is already in the air. At 100%
relative humidity, no net additional moisture will enter at that
temperature.

At 40 C the vapour pressure is greater and the air
can hold more moisture. At around 100 C the
vapour pressure of water becomes equal to the
atmospheric pressure and the atmosphere can
then become entirely made of water, in other
words, the water boils.
Excellent response.

which is also wrong
but what do you know
at 100 C water is at its near critical point, and
nobody really knows what happens,
a lot of strange things actually happens and very
little study is been made
why? becus in order to study that *** you need
ta do that in zero gravity, what do you know
.
