I know you'd like to think so. That is the hope of many an amateur on
this group. It is unfortunately not true. It isn't true for plumbing,
it isn't true for cardiac surgery, it isn't true for the practice of
law, and it isn't true for physics. I haven't got the foggiest idea
why you would think physics would be different.

 Diplomas are granted to those who follow an 'accepted' logic
(not that it is ultimately logical).
