prescription, one that typically involves recording two spatial
locations simulataneously. Length is a physical property. However,
because simultaneity is frame-dependent, the physical property length
is also frame-dependent. There is, however, no physical process or
interaction occurring to or in the rod to change its length.

No .. you can (ignoring technical difficulties). There is a point in time
in the reest frame of the barn where the pole is completely within the barn
(whether or not you physically lcose the doors).

very poor illustration for length contraction.

No .. its a very good one. Its only poor because it contradication your
misunderstanding about SR
