Simultaneity by PeRi

Simultaneity by PeRi

When two events take place at the same time but in different
locations, any observer cannot identify easily that the two events
occurred at the same time. The reason is that all simultaneous events
are separated in time by a communications delay; the time it takes to
transmit the event to an observer at a different location. The time to
transmit may be fractions of a second or light years as in
interstellar incidents. Simultaneity can be determined by
synchronising clocks, setting two clocks to the same time at location
A and then taking one of them to location B. If an event occurs at A
at say local time 10.01 hrs and the signal is received at B at local
time 11.01 hrs and if the observer at B knows that the distance AB is
one light-hour and the speed of the signal is c, he could say the
event at A occurred simultaneous with an event that happened one hour
ago at location B. However there is no way to establish simultaneity
in real time, only after any transmission delay.

If AE claimed to have simplified relativity, how much more does my
definition simplify the concept of simultaneity? I used less than 5
sentences without any mathematical gimmicks. Now I invite all my
friends to do their best to restore the complexities of simultaneity.
The prize will go to the one with the most convoluted answer which at
the same time is so confusing that only the author and maybe even he
cannot make any sense out of it. BTW, there is a method to determine
simultaneity with one clock. Anyone know or work it out?
