Well healthy skepticism is good for science,
let me give you another quicky. Suppose we
reduce the probability that plasma accounts
for GR effects to 10%, for time retardation,
light deflection, perihelion advance, Shapiro
effects, GPS, in each case.
None is decisive but all 5 are consistent,
with GR, so I do a probability like,

(10%)^5 = 1/100000, meaning from that simple

quicky sample, the probability of plasma
being the causal effect is 1 in 100,000.

Careful now. It the theory correctly predicted
presence of the plasma because it represents
an increase of the density of energy to
the stress energy tensor then you might sell
the theory short.

theory predict the perihelion advance?

Another effect that is (IMO) a GR effect
is the quantization of electronic atomic
orbits, in that, GR provides a firm basis
for the otherwise adhoc Quantum Theory.

That is solar system atoms.
