Hi Ng
I'd like to tell you some dodgy ideas about black holes.
I want to show, that there could be a different model for black holes. The main idea is to forget gravity, but to look at geometry of spacetime.
Imagine the surface of a hyperball, a hypersphere. Imagin a piece of this. Imagin this to have some properties (whatever you like). This *** developes. It steps into its future, step by step. Whats ever is in it will step with it. This content will modify the path of this piece (like passengers in a car modify its path). The *** steps and steps and drags its content with it.
Now I want to add some angular momentum. This a very well conserved entity. Those content now adds some angular momentum to the *** and make it turn a tiny bit. Now it steps and steps and gets even more angular momentum. Like a boat on the the see it tilts to the side, but in this case forwards, because angular momentum is added. The piece of spacetime is moving now in an angle to the neighbourhood. It advances still perpendicular to itself. The propagation laws are those of lightcones. An event in this picture sends out light in angle of 45° to both sides of a line perpendicular to the surface or 90° in total to . The perpendicular vector is now pointing a bit downwards and inwards compared to an distant observer. The more angular momentum is collected the havier this vector points this direction. Those sheets are assumned to hold together. Its not allowed to cut them, it is continuos. So those sheets clash together and build a whirl, slowing it even more down in some center. The light is still emmitted and is visible as long as the observe is within the future lightcone of a point on this surface. But this will not be the case forever, since the whirl gets deeper and exeeds the limit of 45°. In the meantime the light gets restricted. It could only bee seen outside, if its lightcone reaches an observer. This will be less, since the lightcone tilts away and only perpendicular to this whirl its possible see it.
In this sceme you get nice accretion disks, black holes, jets, hawking radiation and dont need dark matter. You dont even need gravity or virtual particle pairs.
