? ? ? I am sure that some of our scientific friends who believe in a
distance contraction will be anxious to explain this phenomenon.

Sure, but what'd be the point?
What could we possibly tell you that could undo 20 years of
misunderstanding relativity?
Well, evidently you cannot tell me anything, Eric. Surely, scientists
must have some explanation for this.
Yes they do, but can you explain this? How is it that all physicists
throughout the world, of all cultures, religions, and political regimes
can understand and accept relativity but you cannot?

I don't think you accept relativity. You have some convoluted
exercises using the Lorentz equations to explain experimental
results.
Why was it that all physicists throughout the world in Galileo's
time accepted the Ptolemaic system of astronomy, including Galileo
after he was taken to court? Physicists of today are no different.
They do what the powers that be force them to do.
The only difference today is the motivation. Galileo recanted his
statement that the earth rotated on its axis and said that the sun
orbited the earth because he wanted to keep living. Scientists of
today say that the Lorentz equations are the correct description of
relativity because governments give scientists obscene amounts of
money for research as long as they say this.
Big cars, you didn't mention the 'scientists in their big cars'- Hide quoted text -

Right. Scientists in their big cars. Galileo had to use horse drawn
transportation. So did Isaac Newton.
Robert B. Winn
But that's the difference in the 20th century physics. Big cars. And
huge salaries.
