Transverse paradox parallel question
The traveling twin is on a spaceship speeding at 200000km/sec through
the universe. According to the theory of relativity, he ages only
74.53% of the time on earth. As one year on earth passes, he ages only
9 months. Similarly, one hour on earth is slowed down to 45 minutes in
the spaceship. Brother twin has an hour glass. On earth, the sand
takes 1 hour to empty into the lower part. He compares it with an
atomic clock. Gravity on the spaceship has been engineered to be the
same as on earth. Can he notice any difference in time watching the
two time pieces? Will the hour glass empty in 45 minutes and why? The
instruments including hour glass and atomic clock on board are
monitored by observers back on earth. Can they measure any time
dilation effects on the spaceship and how? Five easy (maybe difficult)
questions to answer.
