It is avoiding the concept that relativity is about real things, not

break, doesn't it. That is as real as it can get.)
Yes, it does break. While length contraction is one of the possible
explanations, an equally valid one is that the rockets' distance
increases because of the fact that they do not shut off their engines
simultaneously in their comoving frame (see the wiki explanation I
gave you). As Daryl was observing in an earlier post, length
contraction, time dilation, relativity of simultaneity and speed
measurement are inextricably connected in relativity, so you cannot
really point to one as cause for a certain effect. If you want to use
Bell's paradox as "proof" of the "reality" of length contraction (as
this emerges as your agenda for the whole thread), this will not work
for mutiple reasons:
1. The Bell paradox is a thought experiment, never executed (and most
likely unexecutable for multiple practical reasons)
2. More importantly, its results can be explained in multiple
different ways (see above), so, it cannot be tied to length
contraction ONLY.
3. If you look at Tom Roberts' relativity FAQ, you will see that, to
date, there is no direct test for length contraction.
