There isn't a "real" answer, so I gave you an answer that isn't on the

But there is a "real" answer,

Then show there is. Show it works.
Find me an x, such that x*x = -4.

You aren't likely to convince anyone that imaginary
numbers really exist when you have historically
substituted the semantic operator for the imaginary
operator to make your fairy tales work out.

you just choose the imaginary
one because you have been trained to without using logic
anymore.

Numbers don't exist. Even whole numbers don't exist. Semantic
operators are imaginary operators. The only time we can use numbers,
any type of number, is when the "fairy tale" agrees with "physical
reality." A fairy tail that matches physical reality is called a
model.
There are plenty of physically correct models with imaginary
numbers and logically defined operators for them, agree with physical
reality. The operators are defined semantically, by which I mean the
definitions are defined in words. I am not sure what you mean by
logic, but as far as I can see the models are developed with formal
logic.
What do you, Spaceman and Androcles mean by logic, anyway? When I
say logic, I mean formal logic with structure and rules. Formal logic
is a subset of semantics. To me, ad hoc skepticism is not logic.
