If I drive past a light pole at half c, the light pole remains vertical in my

If a laser beam is fired up the middle of a hollow light pole and I drive past
it at half c, both the pole and the beam remain vertical and move sideways.
Neither the pole nor the laser beam leans over diagonally.

Einstein, in his naivity, claimed that the whole laser beam DOES become
diagonal in his car frame and move at c along that diagonal. Hence, it now took
longer to get to the top when measured in his frame because the path was
longer...which in turn meant that his clock was running slower than the one in
the light pole.

What followed is a 100 year monument to man's inherent stupidity.....and the
joke is still with us....

Hahahahahhahhohohohoohawhawhaw!

How can anyone with any intelligence still believe this stuff?

The laser beam travels up the light pole twice as fast as your car is
traveling according to a clock in the frame of reference of the light
pole.  A clock in your car only has a rate of half the rate of the
clock by the light pole, but shows light to be traveling at c in your
frame of reference.  That means that according to your clock, your car
is traveling at c, and the light traveling up the pole is going the
same speed as your car instead of twice as fast, as the clock by the
light pole shows.
This representation is based on all light traveling at c, which is
what scientists say is what they have proven.  I personally believe
there would be other ways to look at the problem, but when talking to
scientists, always use the logic of scientists, otherwise, they will
become very irrational.

I am not concerned about what scientists do.  As far as I can tell
they do not do much today except try to get money from the government.

Physics virtually died in 1905. ..or rather, it was abducted and still hasn't
been able to free itself ...

And yet somehow it has managed to make incredible strides using
relativity.

Keep believing, ralph.

So where are the tremendous strides?

If you have to ask, you aren't qualified to comment.

Proton therapy for cancer is one. Go look it up.
