No. You got it back to front.
Henry....the Ninth Wonder..
By the way any light observed will be measured at c and
any observer will see the photons go straight up in their
frame. Its
relativity - believe it or not! Ripleys
Who measured it?
Learn some basic physics then come back...
Henry....correct as usual.......
But that is basic physics. Unless you do not consider SRT basic
physics
SRT is a load of garbage. It is a weird form of aether theory.

there
ain't no aether.
Is spacetime convex or concave?

Not bad..why don't you provide soem notes with it....

Wilson of the Wobbly Worbits.
Henry....correct as usual.......
The basic mistake of SR is to state that the observer on the platform
sees light moving in his frame at c and also sees a train moving, and
insisting that light should move at c wrt to the moving train as well.
I didn't think there was anything at all correct
in the thought experiment. Thanks for finding
a needle in a haystack.
<< where epsilon_0 and mu_0 are physical
constants which can be evaluated by performing two
simple experiments which involve measuring the force
of attraction between two fixed charges and two fixed
parallel current carrying wires. According to the
relativity principle, these experiments must yield
the same values for epsilon_0 and mu_0 in all inertial
frames. Thus, the speed of light must be the same
in all inertial frames.

Sue...
Actually I found that some scientists think the thought experiment is
not a good way to teach SRT, which is an eye opener.
I am beginning to get a little unnerved knowing that people who run
out nuclear reactors and design our spaceships are all too muddled in
their thinking to spot real problems with SRT.
The sheer scandal of having accepted SRT for so long despite its
inconsistencies I think is too much just too much. I may prefer to
think SRT is true
I want to believe.
Then stay away from engineering! I wouldn't want you anywhere
near a nuclear reactor, you are too dangerous. Not only do you
tar everybody with the same brush, wishful thinking and wanting
to believe won't change the way Nature works. Become a
theoretical physicist and write papers on your theories, only
crackpots will read them anyway. Engineers ignore them.
