Re: Proof That Simultaneity is Absolute an Universal

The following experiment describes how simultaneity becomes universal when
communication travel time is removed from the equation. Note, it may not be
possible to determine in real time whether or not two events occur at the same
universal time instant but it IS possible, using presynched clocks, to achieve
this IN RETROSPECT ....and in all frames.

We will consider the one dimensional case where two observers are moving
relatively along a line. At a certain absolute instant two spatially separated
events will occur on that line. The observers will perform experiments that
will enable the future determination of the relative timing of the two events.

Prior to the experiment and when the observers are together, they each set up a
row of identical presynched (and perfect) clocks at equidistant points along a
long rigid rod. The rods are aligned so all the clocks are equally spaced and
in synch.

Consider now what happens when the two observers are in relative inertial
movement along the line.

Let flashes of lightning strike observer one's clocks '4' and '8' when their
readings are the same time.
The same flashes also strike observer two's clocks '1' and '5' when THEY read
the same time.

Therefore both observers can say that the flashes were instantaneous in their
[inertial?] respective frames.

Simultaneity is therefore proved to be universal.

The automobile wrecking yards are filled with much
more convincing evidence of simultaneity but not one
scrap of it offers any support for your favorite
theory of light.
