The two silver atom parity states in the collimated neutral atomic
beam are launched into divergent trajectories by magnetic field
divergence. The experiment then requires a long evacuated pathlength
over which a strong magnetic field is constantly strongly divergent
(and a lead researcher who is addicted to cheap sulfurous cigars - or
the results remain invisible).
