Interesting article, but I don't think anyons could be covered by
SU(2), since the representations of SU(2) are already well understood.
No room for anything other than bosons and fermions there. I'm not
well versed in the technical literature on anyons or even the Quantum
Hall Effect, but my own take is that they might be related to fractal
spaces, since these spaces can have fractional dimensionality. But the
next question is whether there are fractal groups.
