I don't understand what you're suggesting when you say "in GR terms".
Are you implying an analogy with the mathematics of a Kerr hole, or
are you asking what happens to a real hoop when we take account of
gravitational effects?
If it's the latter, I expect that gravitational effects would be
completely negligible. If you're suggesting a mathematical analogy
with Kerr holes, can you make this more precise?
