I'm looking to solve the time-dependent Schrodinger equition for a
particle in a time-dependent periodic potential. So the Hamiltonian
looks like:
H = H_0 + eVcos(wt)
where H_0 is the unperturbed Hamiltonian.
How do I solve the time-dependent SE?
Any help is really appreciated!
If V is a constant, then the problem can be solved by a simple
variable separation (assuming that H_0=(p^2/2*m)+U(x)). If on the
other hand, V=V(x,t), then the problem can be solved by standard means
like time dependent perturbation etc. Yet another, although esoteric,
method might be to apply the techniques of supersymmetric quantum
mechanics to find a partner hamiltonian etc and then arrive at the
energy eigenvalues.
