Indeed yes! And not just in the type of physics involved
in making the first A-bomb. He was also, for example,
pretty hot in gravity.

It's often a time-waster of mine to wonder what science
would have been like had WWII never happened. If O. had
never gotten mixed up in the war effort, and then in the
crap that followed (false accusations, H-bomb, etc.)
what science would he have gotten into instead?
