Read what he wrote. Wind and solar do not require more energy input than
what comes out.

Non sequitur. You are talking about money, I am talking about physics.
What the OP stated was the equivalent to stating that in order for a solar
cell calculator to run, you need to attach a 12 volt battery to the cell.
That in order for a windmill to work you would have to put 10000 gerbils
inside on wheels to make it spin.
