Boston had the first electric train system it was called the EL. The
first taxi cabs in 1900 were electric. I had an uncle that had the
number 4 taxi license, and he drove these small electric cars. They could
go 60 miles before needing charging. Down town Boston takes up a very
small area, and even today electric taxi could be very practical. The
best way to get to Logan air-port is to take the electric train. Bert
