But seriously, besides RFC 1036 requiring it,
it's just plain good manners to let people know
what you are writing about by providing a reasonable title.

The term, " back reference " refers to
the " Re: " tag at the start of a title,
and Not to the References line.
So even when the topic changes,
the References line SHOULD Not be deleted.
and one SHOULD Not use "Re: " at the start of a title.
I repeat, because the title SHOULD describe the message,
RFC 1036 says that when the topic changes:
One SHOULD Not use "Re: " at the start of a title.
And one SHOULD Not delete the References line.
