To start an auto line yo pick the plant sise and cost , make an honest
prediction basd on a 1955 machine line and coppie it with machne
quaotes. CIF bid on the whole works.

cencors and newmatics. Install a new weld line 12 robot welders set for
$ 4 million . 10 migs and 2 spotwelders. Singe shift 40,000 cars a
year with 4 changovers.
 paint line and body stamp and smal parts stamp and then contract out
parts .
Even your custom desines can be contracted out.
 But still the target of all new cool things is 30,000 to 50,000 . The
$ 15000 crowd dont buy much . The dude you sell the car to makes 40,000
a year.

THE trick is ,,by trading 1000 tons and making a million , I can do that
same deal again and again. Then once one is going then two is going and
3 is going and its a suply chain of events , befor you know it , its a
billion a year.
You quit , but it keeps going , the old deals all repeat them selves ,
 Say you deal 25000 tons a year , then next year you make 25 mill too
but dint do much.
  An auto plant with only 40,000 car year should make 800 million a
year.
