Tamper device provides only partial protection, gamma rays go right through
it.
Take some unexposed film with you, then get it developed and see how much
you got radiated. If all white - you are cooked, kiss your goats, wife and
kids goodbye.
That is why in Russia, teams are rotated on a daily basis that handle nukes,
so they do not build up so much exposure, even in a Tamper proof situation.
