Erm...dumb question. Did you mean:

[1] that you enjoy responding to cranks who happen to be irritating you?

[2] that you enjoy the irritation of individuals who you (and everyone
    else, presumably) consider crankish?

I would assume the latter but just want to make sure. :-)
