Maybe the least amount is required if you put it in a jar on an
elevated place in a closed box and a slightly filled jar at the
bottom of the box. The gas pressure at the upper jar is less than
in the lower jar so eventually all the water will evaporate from
the upper jar to the lower jar. All the energy you need is to
lift the water to the upper jar.
This may not work with salt as the water concentration in the top
jar drops as it evaporates and so does the vapor pressure.
Evaporation will stop (reach equilibrium) when the vapor pressure
of the upper jar reaches the vapor pressure of the lower jar
minus the hydrostatic drop in the gas.
