Predicting the pathway of a fused engine is difficult. The IA 747
freighter which lost an inboard engine shortly after take-off from
Amsterdam is an example. The departing engine took out the outboard
engine.
Depending on the sequence of failure of the 5 main attachments, it is
not a simple thing to predict. Trying to figure this out from the
photographic evidence on display would be difficult.
