Guess what? I live in Indianapolis. Rolls-Royce bought Allison
Engine Company, Allison Gas Turbine Division here in Indy in 1995. My
next door neighbor has worked there for 25 years and his father
retired from there. Roll-Royce hasn't changed a thing there, except
the name on the door. So, it's no wonder John Brown wasn't familiar
with the part. BTW, the Allison AE3007H that John referenced just
happens to be the powerplant for the Global Hawk......
So, that shoots any Global Hawk theory all to hell.

American Airlines employees are most probably barred from publicly
discussing anything pertaining to company business (as employees at
every company I've ever heard of are). I'm sure they'd like to keep
their jobs.
