for simulation buy a cheap fast clone or white Box. you can get 2.6 GHz
cheap, and no thermal problems
If you need something portable, that is a different requirement.
Try not to put too much money into it,
Don't buy the fastest either, they have more timing glitches and hang up.
AMD processors are good too, (instead of Intel) and a lot cheaper
