Are you sure you have the right page there? On page 48, near the top, I
see a
xi = beta (x - vt)
but nothing like an "and of course if we place x' = x+vt". This is right
after a section where he discovered that phi(v)=1.

That little peice of flame war doesn't exactly make you look like an
intellectual powerhouse. I don't have the patience right now to sift
through an archived flame fest and figure out what you're doing. But
I've been through the twin paradox enough times and satisfied myself as
the basic validity of of the analysis. And the last time we talked, you
didn't know how to invert a Lorentz transform. So I think I'll just
assume you've made an error in there somewhere.
