Marine artillery brings dignity to what would otherwise be a vulgar
brawl. In the single sigificant tank engagement of Gulf War I a
batallion of Iraqi tanks emerged from oil smoke on high ground to look
down upon a US tank detachement. The Iraqis fired en masse, scoring
zero hits.

US first volley - 80% kills.
US second volley - 100% kills.

To err is human, to forgive, divine. Neither one is Marine Corps
policy.
