Bush for a president has unique characteristics, very
valuable for USA (and elsewhere) at this time. He listens to
good advice, rather than following myopic, selfish, rigid
Washington formulas. He has an administration that are more
or less the military type. This type of people have a bent
for letting go of immediate considerations of money and
safety and interests in favor of something good for the
long-run. Don't turn them down. And do not mistake the
military types with the loonies going about trying to impose
some sort of idiology or self-interest. Even Hitler's
militarymen were clean (as opposed to the SS).
The only thing about Bush's administration that calls for a
need for scrutiny and care on the part of the observers is
the possibility that Israel would hijack his efforts. USA's
interests (long-term) must stay distinct from those of
Israel in the Middle East, else the effort will fail.
Kerry is nothing BUT Israel as far as the Middle East is
concerned. Bush and his administration, on the other hand,
have minds of their own, willing and open to seek what needs
to be done.
