Essentially? Because the interests behind the ban would never accept
it. They want control, are afraid of losing it if they decriminalize
them, so a solution where they can get control while people stops
being criminals for having fun serves both sides well. It would be as
socialist as a foodstamp`s card. A problem would be determining the
right doses; if too low, nothing`s gained, if too high is like free
for all. The fact is that drugs do have certain side effects that are
no that desirable, it seems.
