New Jersey was activated during the Vietnam war.
What does a 1940s battleship steam turbine have anything to do with any wind
turbine?
Rural farm water pumping windmills can last for decades, but so does
anything designed to last for decades. Aircraft wings have design lifespans
(thousands of hours ?) based on operational safety factors, economics,
weight, but not longevity. I'm sure that a modern HAWT could be designed to
last as long as you wanted it to last, but not that it would satisfy
economic design criteria.
