You're a funny guy Dirk :)
You may find a fumble here or there in my speculative posts to usenet,
but you won't find any errors in the papers that I've published to the
web. Hey Dirk, Hansen left me hanging a couple weeks back on a question
that I posed, probably because he didn't know the answer and/or couldn't
locate one on the web. Suppose you try your hand at it?

Two synchronized clocks, initially at rest wrt each other,
simultaneously accelerate toward each other, then decelerate where they
come to a simultaneous stop at a point that was initially fixed midway
between them. Assume the acceleration of the clocks to be equal and
opposite wrt the fixed midpoint. Provide mathematically for the
necessary equality of ticking rates of these clocks wrt each other,
within either the special or general relativistic framework.
Oh, BTW, these are 'light clocks', with the beams propagating transverse
to the direction of motion of the clocks along x.
