I think you are referring to the sponsored links on Google Groups.(?) If so,
take heart, this group isn't run BY Google. It is a Usenet group - just like
thousands of others - owned by noone. There are some flakey opinions and
outright misguided postings as well as some very insightful and
scientifically based postings. This is the Internet - it ain't perfect.
Also, have you read the first chapter (free via PDF) of "The Final Theory"?
Mr. McCutcheon SEEMS to make some rather strong mathematical arguments about
apparent faults in classical physics. He SEEMS to have a grasp of current
scientific knowledge. But that might just be smoke in mirrors.
The first thing I take issue with is that the whole first chapter skirts
around his "new concept" without giving any clue as to what it might be.
Secondly, he doesn't just suggest flaws in some well accepted and so far
very accurate equations. Instead he seems to flat out denounce ALL such
ideas and equations and seems to be stating that they are just flat out
wrong. I have a bit of a problem with that - especially considering that
these accepted principles have put several men on the moon and successfully
sent dozens of space probes to targeted locations.
Admittedly, I am interested in reading his work. But I'm not suggesting that
I will necessarily buy into his ideas. . .
