Theoretically yes, you're right but in practice it would take a long
time to accumulate these winnings wih a small bias.
I suspect something else went on and the story about lasers and
computations was a hoax the casino people invented to divert the
attention.
Either those people know the kind of physics we don't, maybe some new
QM theory that predicts macro dynamic behavior or they used some other
method the casino people don't want to be publicized and reached an
agreement with them to talk about cell phones and lasers.
I cannot really think of what they might have used but the fact is
they won the money and abducting any hypothesis of how they did it is
not a good idea.
