Visible light passes threw glass .
But move that frequency past visible light and glass is not transparent.
 Make a cloud in a glasss jug ..compress the cloud with air psi and the
cloud turns clear and let the presure off and its a cloud you cant see
threw again.
 If its clear and the wavelenth dont change then no energy was
exchanged between photon and electron .
 Now Ive shaded it red with a filter..
 Now the light that passes threw exchanges some energy with the atoms
but not all .
 The photon is not just passin threw the clear .
It is obsorbed and ejected from atom to atom.
The direction it is ejected is like your TV set.
Some photons will exchange allot of energy some not enouph to notice.

 The electron is absorbed and re ejected .
Lets make the glass so thick the photon wount make it threw . If it was
not hitting the atoms and exchanging energy with the electrons then
glass would be as good as space and the photon pass threw any thickness
of glass.

 Change the wavelenth too much and the glass is not clear but more like
steel .

 Compress the steel enouph and its cloud disapears and steel becomes
clear as the glass.

 Photons are condected in space .
 The gravity pit of an atom is so low a photon must change directions
and orbit the low and exchange energy with the electron.
  The combined mass then cant go faster and some of the energy will
change directions again so a photon leaves the orbit at the point of
less energy.

  SOOOO as the photon passes threw the glass it is passing threw bent
space.
  How the space conducting the rize and fall in energy called "photon"
conducts ,,depends on how the atoms are bending the space its condcted
in.
  The bed in space may not be strong enouph to change the direction of
the photon.

 What you dont understand ..
 1 ,,the sise of te atoms parts.
 2 . gravity changing the direction of a photon.
3 . a photon exchanging energ with the electron as it falls into
orbit in the atoms pit.
 3,,and how the photon is re ejected.
