Clue to space station air problem

Salizhan Sharipov joined Chiao on the space walk
A space walk by the crew of the International Space Station (ISS) has
uncovered vents encrusted with residues on the orbiting facility's exterior.
During a space walk in August 2004, the previous ISS crew caused three US
gyros to stop on the space station, apparently because they were working too
hard. This gyro fault caused the ISS to lose its orientation for twenty
minutes.
In December, an unmanned cargo ship was sent to the space station carrying
food for Chiao and Sharipov, because their supplies had started to run
dangerously low. An independent team has been looking into how the orbiting
facility's food inventory ended up being tracked so poorly and how it can be
improved in the future

Back in November, Foale and Kaleri reported a loud noise that sounded like a
flapping *** of metal. The air pressure remained stable, however, and all
the other systems seemed fine, too. NASA has yet to determine what caused
the noise.
NASA also is monitoring a malfunctioning gyroscope used for motion control
and a broken oxygen generator. Spare parts are at a premium because of the
nearly yearlong grounding of the space shuttle fleet, the result of the
Columbia tragedy.

WHO WANTS TO GO TO MARS AND HANG OUT FOR 3 YEARS? How do you wash clothes
