That's stored solar energy. And, what is the cost of storing all that solar
energy? Well, using today's economics, there is no charge for storage.
So, to be consistant, either you should advocate adding a storage charge to coal,
oil and other fossil fuels, or ignore the storage cost for the renewables, right?

Tht's true, however, there are lots of stationary situations in which batteries
would be useful for power. They can also be distributed along with the sources,
instead of bunching them up in big piles to provide a central station equivalant.

We are already living with multiple power sources. Houses are regularly heated
with wood, coal, oil, propane, natural gas or nuclear electricity. And solar
energy in it's various forms can integrated into the mix too. It is already
cheaper to heat a house with a solar thermal system, compared with electricity
when the costs are calculated over the lifetime of the solar system. With the
recent runup ibn oil prices, solar's also cheaper than oil today.
