2. THE THIRD COMMANDMENT:- WHAT GRAVITY FORMED, LET NO THERMAL UPSTART
SET ASUNDER
Consensus believes that the differentiation of the Earth into a core
mantle and a crust has happened by the heat of accretionary impact and
the release of heat by decay of radioactive elements. However
intuitively, the heat contribution by radioactivity (a fundamental
tenet of plate tectonics), would be much less than that of impact.
Radioactive elements concentrate in the crust anyway (as passive
'debris'), which would tend to exclude their potential as
participants driving any mantle processes. Also potassium, once touted
by plate tectonics as the major contribution to radioactive heat has a
half-life that precludes it being in any way important for the past xXx
million years, whilst the ocean floors show no sign of diminution of
thermal activity. It seems axiomatic - at least within the present
paradigm - that the heat of planetary accretion was the prime driver
for the differentiation of the planet and the formation of a crust.
THAT IS if the heat of impact was consequent on gravitational force,
then GRAVITY is the prime force controlling the crust - mantle - core
architecture of the planet, and NO SECOND ORDER DERIVATIVE ELEMENT -
including the heat released from radioactive decay - can have any
primary controlling role to play in the DEFORMATION of the planet.
THAT IS, wherever gravity caused FORMATION and assigned a position in
the hierarchy of differentiation (of core mantle crust), no second
order derivative of this can be responsible for DEFORMATION of this
first-order architecture. To upset the core mantle crustal symmetry
and cause extrusion of the mantle, some heat input is required
whichever way we look at it (if axiom 1 applies). (i.e., plate
tectonics has no credible heat source.)
