No, the problem was that you made a very simple mistake by
swapping the two angular coordinates after having applied
grad and before applying curl.

The fact that you don't aknowledge that puts you right in
Androcles' camp. He has made fumbling and refusing to
aknowledge his mistakes into a way of life.
