Yes, why don't I, since I made no mistake and you were gloating as if I
had.
However, I won't, but I do think you should take a deep breath and
reconsider your position. The real point is that you listen to the
know-it-all half-wits like Schwartz, Heymann, Wormley and moortel
instead of cold hard logic, and I know you are capable of better than
that, Eric. So is Ghost.
I admire someone that admits his errors. It shows character, and you are
to be commended for that.
Now I'll admit my error. I thought SR was flawed. It isn't so much
flawed as unrealistic, as I show below.
If the speed of mosquitoes is 5 fps in all frames of reference,
then it travels 80 ft in the "stationary" ground frame for 16 seconds
and 40 ft in the "moving" ladder frame carried by Sam and Joe
in 8 seconds, because the ladder is moving at 3 fps relative
to the ground.
Proof:
tau = (t-vx/c^2) / sqrt(1 - v^2/c^2)
xi = (x-vt) / sqrt(1 - v^2/c^2)
tau = (16 - 3 * 80 / 25) / sqrt(1 - 9/25)
= 8
xi = (80 - 3 * 16) / 0.8
= 40.
v = tau/xi = 40/8 = 5.
The ladder is 32 ft long when it was not moving.
Thus the speed of mosquitoes is PROVEN to be 5 fps
in all frames of reference.
Another proof:
c = (c+v)/(1+v/c)
5 = (5+3)/(1-3/5)
and just one more,
let w = -v
c = (c+w)/(1+w/c)
5 = (5+(-3))/(1- (-3)/5)
If it were not so, it would have to travel 32 feet in
16 seconds at (c-v) = 5-3 fps.
v = x/t = xi/tau because
EITHER c is a universal constant and invariant
OR x and t are invariant.
Newton's model has x and t invariant,
Einstein's model has c invariant.
Einstein left hints to see if anyone catches on:
"Things should be as simple as possible, [but] NOT simpler."
http://rescomp.stanford.edu/~cheshire/EinsteinQuotes.html
His model is NOT simpler.
That is the beauty of Einstein's genius, but I think 100 years
is long enough for one joke, even the aether joke. While the speed
of mosquitoes in air requires air, the speed of marbles (which also
roll at 5 fps in all inertial frames of reference) do even better
without air.
Pity he didn't contribute much of anything to physics or mathematics
(except marbles and mosquitoes, aka photons), even if he handed a gold
mine to psychoanalysts.
Androcles.
