Like it or not Uncle Al has put forward a clear, concise and
executable (pun intended) solution to a real and pervasive problem.
Macarthur put forward the same idea re North Korea.

The Greens/Bunny Huggers/Liberals have responded in true form – by
castigating him BUT providing absolutely no clear, concise and
achievable Plan B.

To my mind the problem is one of ‘spiritual' oppression by a bunch of
Mullahs on a large borderless mass of people searching for
‘something'. And the only item currently on the table is the Islamic
religion (which these Mullahs have twisted to suit their own ends). In
addition these Mullahs are doing everything possible to ensure that
this is the only item that remains on the table and anything else is
an evil plot hatched by the infidels.

Religious conversion is non starter, although some zealots will no
doubt try and keep on trying.

Another option is – and the mentioned items need to chosen with care
and are location dependant. Rather than bombs, drop large quantities
of Sears Catalogs (OK print some new ones), Levi jeans, Nikes,
cosmetics, crystal set/wind up radios (no power required), Leartherman
tools, pots/pans, Tupperware, some petrol generators (a real prize
item!), etc. These are items that will benefit the masses, instill
some pride of ownership and prove useful. The Mullahs will naturally
get pissed off and ban these items – on pain of death. Sooner or later
someone is going to wise up to the fact that getting killed over a
pair of Nikes is not really worth it and tell the Mullahs to shove it.
Oh, and btw a cruise missile buys a lot Levis.

Will this work – I doubt it. The 9/11 attackers were relatively well
off and educated. Al talks about some flares and the mid West –
consider a hijacked fully laden oil tanker at full throttle heading up
the Houston Ship Channel (or any other refinery port) and the damage
it could cause? The list goes on and on and on.

So what do we do? We either do something (in good faith) OR sit on our
hands and wait for the next ‘big one'.
