habshi,
No matters what topic you have to offer, don't expect anything except
the usual perpetrated cold-war crapolla of their continual dog-wagging
spin, damage-control and disinformation hype from these insectoid
borgs.
Of what a set of solar powered laser cannons could accommodate is at
least 1e12 bps, if not 1e15 bps of quantum (FM modulated) photon
communications, whereas this could be accomplished with all of one watt
if using a 0.05 milliradian beam, or otherwise like you mentioned of a
KW per microwave beam could possibly accomplish 1e9 bps, thus a power
radio of bps throughput of 1e9:1.
Of course, a 0.05 milliradian laser beam would be somewhat of a private
channel that intended for a fairly tight target zone, unlike
RF/microwave energy that would likely cover the entire globe no matters
what.
