What theory of intelligent design? Do you mean Dembski's assertion
that life arose by a sudden process that was not design? That is an
assertion, not a theory.

In other words, life appears to be very different from design,
therefore life is designed. I think there is a hole in your logic.

Why does it look undesigned, then? When was the last time you saw a
designed machine that consists of a bag of loose parts?
