So you finally admit that there is no savings to building underground
between cities since the land cost only become significant in built
up areas, which is just a tiny fraction of the proposed rail distance?

How is maintenance of an underground railway cheaper than an above
ground railway?

Maybe that's because the present system works so well and nobody except
a certain babbling Indian refugee thinks anything else is needed.

Railways in the US are not fenced, nor are there many wandering
elephants.

Cow catchers for locamotives were invented in the 19th century.

Animal Control did have to shoot a tiger in Orange County last week, but
it was nowhere near a railway.
