On Tue, 01 Mar 05 09:43:38 GMT, in a place far, far away,
lparker@emory.edu (Lloyd Parker) made the phosphor on my monitor glow
in such a way as to indicate that:
>>>>>>"I was in Cambodia on Christmas Eve, 1968, when listening to President
>>>>>>Nixon tell the American people that we weren't there. It was seared,
>>>>>>SEARED, into my memory."
>>>>>
>>>>>Less harmful than "Saddam tried to buy uranium in Africa".
>>>>
>>>>The president didn't say that.
>>>
>>>Now you're lying. Guess you're just emulating your hero.
>>
>>Bush isn't my hero, and he didn't say that. He said that British
>>intelligence said that, which was the truth.
<mercifully snipped multiple irrelevant quotes of the president>
>So on 15 different occasions, Bush said Iraq has WMD.
And on none of them did he say that Saddam tried to buy uranium in
Africa.
Nice attempt at a change of subject, though. Well, actually, it was a
pathetic one.
And even if one allows the subject change, you have provided no
information that the president didn't believe any of those statements
be true at the time he made them, so you continue to have zero
evidence that he has lied about WMD, or anything else.
