There's also nothing to prevent us from putting complex conjugates into
dimensional products, so that for example E = L^a M^b T^c w^d (w*)^e
P^f with all the other exponents "zeroed out" (equal to 0) for constant
E = k would yield:
1) k = w^d (w*)^e P^f
and with d = e = f = 1 and k = 1 we get:
2) ww* = P
which is the Born probability in quantum mechanics. We could even give
an exponent to E, but since we could then take the nth root of both
sides for n = 1, 2, 3, ..., this would mostly apply to an exponent
which is either 0 or 1 (though it would be a useful generalization for
different phases).
In statistical decision theory, randomized decision rules D might also
be expressed as:
3) D = E/(C^a (E~)^b p^c)
and if E = ww* = P for example, or P times a dimensional constant k,
then:
4) D = kP
with a = b = c = 0 and k might be 1 in magnitude. Notice that (3) says
that decision is behavior or action (action in a kinetic or potential
sense) per input (data) where input is a product of powers of Cognition
C (knowledge, etc.), Emotion E~, and Perception p.
Here (3) and (4) are more applicable to psychology than physics proper,
although in accordance with my suggestions for interdisciplinary
examination and comparison it seems valuable to compare them with
physics equations.
By the way, we also have a possible way to model and hopefully
eventually test once and for all claims that the human brain is or is
not related to quantum mechanics (QM) or QFT by such models compared
across psychology and QM or QFT. Somewhat more difficult, but perhaps
possible, would be to test a conjecture like "the human brain can
detect superluminal (either group or material) velocities/speeds"
across physics and psychology. The current groups like PSYCHE-D or
PSYCHE-E (I forget which) via Hameroff of Arizona (a colleague of Sir
Roger Penrose, although Sir Roger isn't responsible for him) on
Consciousness go so far overboard in excluding modeling or exploratory
posts at least in my case that an interdisciplinary forum would
definitely be useful. By the way, Consciousness researchers typically
go overboard to appeal to the Mainstream to establish their "academic
credibility" in my experience.
